Homemade High Protein Bagels

Makes 5 bagels

what you’ll need:

  • 2 cups self rising flour

  • 2 cups nonfat plain greek yogurt

  • 1 egg

  • Everything but the bagel seasoning

Instructions:

  1. To a large bowl add 2 cups self rising flour and 2 cups plain nonfat greek yogurt. Mix well until it forms a dough. The dough may be a little sticky but that’s ok!

  2. Separate the dough into 5 equal sized pieces and place on a floured surface.

  3. Roll each one into a ball and then gently press into the middle with your thumb and pull apart the sides to make a bagel shape. (see instagram video below for the visual)

  4. Brush the top of each bagel with an egg wash ( 1 egg whisked) then top with your seasoning of choice. I personally love everything but the bagel seasoning from trader joes.

  5. Place in the air fryer at 350 for 14 minutes, flipping halfway through.

  6. Let it cool and store in a zip lock bag on the counter. If keeping them longer than a week then you can freeze!

  7. When you’re ready to eat, cut them in half and pop them in the toaster. Enjoy!
