Why I Love This Recipe
This is one of those recipes that proves dinner doesn’t have to be complicated to be really, really good. The hot honey Dijon glaze comes together in just a few minutes, then bakes into the most delicious sweet, tangy, and slightly spicy coating on the chicken. It’s the kind of recipe I make on busy weeknights because it feels a little special without adding any extra work.
Enjoying The Leftovers
This chicken is just as good sliced up for tomorrow’s lunch as it is fresh out of the oven.
Storing
Store the chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
Reheating
Reheat in the microwave or a 350°F oven until warmed through. Slice and serve over rice, salads, or roasted vegetables for an easy second meal.

Hot Honey Mustard Chicken
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F on the convection setting.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, honey, red pepper flakes, paprika, chili powder, garlic, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
- Place the chicken in a baking dish or on a lined baking sheet. Brush the hot honey Dijon mixture generously over the chicken, coating all sides.
- Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Switch the oven to broil and cook for 2-4 minutes, watching closely, until the glaze is caramelized and the edges are lightly crisp.
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving. Spoon any extra sauce from the pan over the top and enjoy!
