Why I Love This Recipe
There are some dinners that never go out of style, and baked meatballs are definitely one of them. This recipe is simple enough for a busy weeknight but still has that cozy, homemade feel everyone loves. The meatballs bake right in the sauce, stay incredibly tender, and finish with plenty of melty mozzarella for the kind of dinner that’s always a hit.
Enjoying The Leftovers
These Italian baked meatballs are great for meal prep and hold up well in sauce, making them perfect for leftovers, sandwiches, or quick pasta bowls during the week.
Storing
Let the meatballs cool completely before transferring to airtight containers. Store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. For best results, store the meatballs with the sauce together so they stay moist. If possible, store pasta or spaghetti squash separately to prevent it from getting soggy.
Reheating
Reheat in the microwave or warm everything together in a covered skillet over medium-low heat until heated through. Serve over freshly cooked pasta or spaghetti squash and top with a little extra parmesan if you’d like.
