These Maple Cinnamon Baked Apples are an easy fall recipe made with tender apples, pure maple syrup, cinnamon, lemon juice, and flaky sea salt. They taste just like homemade apple pie filling and are perfect for serving over oatmeal, pancakes, yogurt, ice cream, or enjoying as a simple cozy dessert.
Slice up 2–3 apples and toss them into an 8x8 baking dish.
In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, melted butter, lemon juice, cornstarch, water, and cinnamon until smooth. Pour the mix over the apples and give everything a good stir so they're evenly coated.
Pop the dish in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes, until the apples are soft, golden, and the sauce has thickened.
Sprinkle a little flaky sea salt on top (trust me, it makes the flavors pop!) and serve warm with a big dollop of whipped cream or cool whip.
