Fish Taco Bowls

Overview

Prep Time: 15 min • Cook Time: 15 min

This is a meal that I would happily eat over and over! I chose to use barramundi fish since I think it’s the most mild white fish. You’ll definitely want to give this recipe a try.

what you’ll need:

  • 2 filets of any white fish (I used barramundi)

  • Taco seasoning

  • Red cabbage

  • Red onion

  • Avocado

  • Mango

  • Brown rice

  • Jalapeño

  • 2 Limes

  • Mayo

  • Huy fong Chili garlic sauce

  • Garlic powder

Instructions:

Start by cooking your brown rice according to the package instructions. I used microwaved brown rice to save time!

Preheat a pan on medium high heat and add in 1tbs of avocado oil.

Pat dry your fish and season with taco seasoning on both sides. Once the pan is hot you’ll add in your fish and sear 3-4 min per side, until cooked all the way through.

Meanwhile make your fish taco sauce by mixing 1/2 cup mayo, juice of 1/2 lime, 2 1/2 tbs chili sauce, and 1 teaspoon garlic powder together. This makes a lot of sauce because my husband goes through it all, feel free to cut it down if you don’t need as much!

Now it’s time to assemble the bowl! I added 1/2 cup brown rice, red cabbage, chopped mango, chopped red onion, sliced avocado, sliced jalapeños(omit if you don’t like spicy), the cooked fish, and topped it all with the fish taco sauce. Enjoy!!
