Ingredients

  • 1 pack of Guerrero Tostadas
  • 1 lb ground turkey or beef
  • 1 packet of taco seasoning
  • 1 can of refried beans
  • 8 oz shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil

Optional toppings

  • Guacamole
  • Sliced grape tomatoes
  • Diced red onion
  • Sour cream
  • Freshly chopped cilantro
  • Hot sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  • Preheat a large pan to medium-high heat. Add the ground turkey and cook for 7-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until fully cooked.
  • Add the taco seasoning packet and the amount of water instructed on the back of the seasoning packet. Mix well and simmer on low for a few minutes until the liquid thickens.
  • Add an even layer of tostadas to a foil-lined baking sheet. I could fit six on my baking sheet.
  • Add a scoop of refried beans to each tostada and gently spread it evenly.
  • Next, add some ground turkey mixture and top with shredded cheese.
  • Bake in the oven for about 5 minutes until the cheese is nice and melty.
  • Top with your favorite toppings! I used guacamole, diced tomatoes, diced red onion, sour cream, freshly diced cilantro, and some hot sauce. Enjoy!
