Why I Love This Recipe
I’m always looking for snacks that are easy to grab when I’m running out the door, and these protein balls are one I make on repeat. The oats, peanut butter, honey, and protein powder create the perfect soft and chewy base, while chia seeds add a little extra texture and help keep you full. The freeze-dried strawberries are what make these so fun. They add little bursts of fruity flavor and just the right amount of crunch, making them taste like a peanut butter and strawberry sandwich in snack form. They come together in one bowl in just a few minutes, so they’re perfect for meal prep and busy weeks.
Enjoying The Leftovers
These are made for keeping in the fridge and grabbing whenever you need a quick snack. They’re great before a workout, as an afternoon pick-me-up, or whenever you want something sweet that will actually keep you satisfied.
Storing
Store the protein balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. You can also freeze them for up to 2 months and let them thaw for a few minutes before eating.
When you’re ready to eat
Enjoy them straight from the fridge!

PB&J Protein Balls
Instructions
- Add all of the ingredients to a large bowl. Reserve about ⅓ cup of the chopped freeze-dried strawberries for topping, and add the rest to the bowl.
- Mix until everything is well combined. Using your hands makes this much easier and helps it come together evenly.
- Scoop and press into evenly sized balls. Gently press the tops into the reserved freeze-dried strawberries for a pop of color and extra flavor.
- Repeat until you have about 18 balls.
- Enjoy immediately, or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
